Dynazip Utility Version 5.0 by Inner
Media, Inc. is zip-compatible data compression for Windows
applications. This utility is used in the Business! accounting
products for backup and restore capabilities. |
Description
With the introduction of version
5, be prepared to experience the ultimate in reliability, speed, and
ease of use. New features abound, including support for the newest
zip format (4.50), huge zip files of unlimited size, enhanced
multivolume zipping, Enhanced Deflate (PKWare calls it "Deflate64
TM"), a large, newly updated library of sample source code,
diagnostic utilities, and much more. It's also the value leader,
with two easy-to-swallow product configurations:
DynaZIP is
self-contained and fully compatible -- Now in its fifth major
generation, DynaZIP reaffirms its leadership in helping software
developers incorporate the ability to read, test, create, modify and
write industry standard ZIP files, without having to "shell" to a
DOS session. The royalty-free DynaZIP libraries can read and write
files compatible with the latest version (2.04G) of PKZIP from
PKWare, Inc., (another company, not associated with Inner Media).
And, because DynaZIP has its own built-in ZIP encoding and decoding
logic, PKZIP and PKUNZIP are not used, and need not even be present
on the target machine.
Add ZIP to your
Windows programs -- DynaZIP allows developers to take advantage
of the many benefits of reading and writing ZIP files. Because the
super-fast DynaZIP libraries accurately follow the industry standard
ZIP format that has evolved, files may be shared with anyone who has
a copy of PKZIP and/or PKUNZIP, two popular shareware programs
available on most bulletin board systems. The DynaZIP libraries make
it easy to work with ZIP files. And since no DOS activity is
involved, there is no transition time or screen noise when ZIP/UNZIP
operations begin and end.
Supports many
environments -- The DynaZIP libraries are available in both 16
and 32 bit versions and include generous sample source code to help
you adapt its features to your applications written in C, C++
(including Microsoft Visual C++ and Borland C++), Visual Basic
(versions 3.0 through 5.0), Pascal, Delphi, FoxPro for Windows,
Visual FoxPro (versions 3 and 5), Paradox for Windows (16 and 32
bit), Microsoft Access (16 and 32 bit), Clarion (16 and 32 bit), and
many other languages. Of course, DynaZIP still has all the great
features that developers like yourself have come to know and enjoy,
things like full background processing, cancelable operations, dual
progress monitoring, and much more.
Totally backward compatible!
--
Current DynaZip users, don't worry,
your software investment is totally safe; we'll never abandon you by
creating new, incompatible APIs (unlike some other tools vendors).
In fact, ever since version 1 of DynaZip you've been able to easily
migrate your applications, usually only requiring small changes and
a recompile. The same is true for version 5, and will be true for
future versions to come.

- If you
specifically need .NET or ActiveX components, DynaZip-NX is your
best choice. Super-fast, super-lean, and super-easy to use, it's the
price/performance champion. Don't be fooled by the low price
however, these components will amaze you. They have every feature
you're going to need. DynaZip-NX is the next major step in
DynaZip's long and well-supported evolution. There's no other
product on the market that comes even close to its flexibility,
reliability and ease of use. And to sweeten the deal, we also
include our vast library of sample source code, several new
highly-intuitive diagnostic utilities, on-line help AND
user's manual, fully-tested ASP examples, and so much more.
DynaZip-MAX
- Sure, .NET and
ActiveX are the wave of the future, but what if you also have the
need for DLL, VCL, or static library interfaces? That's where
DynaZip MAX comes in. As the name implies, it's the most
comprehensive data compression product ever devised. You even get
Static Link Libraries for use with your mission critical C/C++
programs, where you can't afford to worry about what components may
already be on the target machine(s). And yes, it also includes the
same potent .NET and ActiveX components that make up DynaZip-NX. As
the flagship of our new version 5 release, you'll be pleased to know
that DynaZip MAX has been fully updated with the same attention to
detail that you'll find in all Inner Media products.
Conforms to the
ZIP standard 100%.
DynaZip is fully compatible with the format originated by PKWare
(another company, no relation with Inner Media), a fact that you can
be extremely confident in. Now with version 5, DynaZip is fully
compatible with the newest version of the zip format, version 4.50.
This includes support for zip files of unlimited size, and the
really useful Enhanced Deflate (PKWare calls it "Deflate64 TM").
You can share DynaZip files with all of the major zip applications,
too; programs like WinZip, PKZip, and many others.
