The MICR printing module lets you print MICR information on plain
paper checks. MICR stands for Magnetic Ink Character Recognition. Banks use
this to automatically process checks. This module uses the ID Automation
MICR font to print the MICR characters.

Features
MICR information is printed at the bottom of the check. When you
purchase the MICR module, you can specify all the information
necessary for printing the MICR data onto your checks.
If you will be printing MICR information, you will also need to
use magnetic toner when you print your checks. Magnetic toner
enables your bank's processing equipment to read the MICR
information. Magnetic toner can be purchased from most office supply
stores that carry printer toner cartridges. If you purchase the
MICR module for Business! Standard Edition or Business! Professional
Edition, the MICR module
includes a single license of the ID Automation MICR E13B font. The
MICR E13B font is a special font that is used on bank checks and
drafts in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Panama, UK, and a
few other countries to print MICR characters for magnetic
recognition and optical character recognition systems. The MICR E13B
font contains ten specially designed numeric characters 0 through 9,
and the four special symbols: transit, amount, on-us, and dash.
If you require additional licenses of the MICR font, or you are
using the MICR module in Yes! I Can Run My Business or the Check
Writer, you will need to purchase a MICR font license separately.
To learn more about the MICR E13B font or to purchase additional
licenses, please see the MICR font page.
